November 8 to 10 Medieval market in Cartagena
Over 100 stands at the market while street entertainment fills the old centre of Cartagena
One of the largest annual medieval market events in the Region of Murcia returns to Cartagena over the weekend of November 8 to 10, when over 100 arts and crafts stands and stalls will be set up in the old city centre and street entertainers will roam the pedestrian shopping area providing fun and frivolity.
The image adorning the official poster for the events represents the trunk and seal with which the city of Cartagena was awarded privileges by King Alfonso X in the 13th century, and this year the market area has been extended to include the entrance to the Plaza de la Merced. Among the items on offer at the stands and stalls are leather goods, silverware, jewellery and of course a wide range of cheeses and other food and drink, including vegan products.
