Playa Vistamar, Pilar de la Horadada
A long, sandy beach with services linked to the urbanisation
Playa Vistamar: 335 metres long and 30 metres wide, this is the last beach to the north of the municipality, bordering on the beaches of Campoamor in the municipality of Orihuela. In reality it is a continuation of the Mil Palmeras beach, and being so close by it is served by all the facilities in the urbanization.
This means there are plenty of hostelry options, with food and drink freely available, beach loungers and sunshades can be hired from the beach bars and there are also paid water “toys” to keep the youngsters occupied during the summer months.
Like the other beaches in the area it is busy in the summer, and despite there being no promenade there is access for those of limited mobility. The waves can make swimming “interesting” here, so be careful to take note of the flag indicating the state of the sea before you take the plunge and be aware of the safety warnings!
There is parking nearby and the beach is easily accessed from the residential areas behind.
