Popular Torrevieja Friday market relocated for two weeks this summer
The usual Friday market at Antonio Soria Park is being rescheduled to make way for one of the Costa Blanca's biggest summer events

Anyone planning a visit to Torrevieja's popular Friday market over the next couple of weeks will need to check the calendar carefully, as two market days are being moved to make way for a major summer music festival.
Torrevieja Town Hall has confirmed that the weekly market at Antonio Soria Park will not take place on Friday July 24 or Friday July 31 as usual.
The temporary change is needed because the venue is being prepared for Low Festival 2026, one of the Costa Blanca's biggest music events, which attracts thousands of visitors every summer with three days of live concerts, well-known artists and a festival atmosphere close to the coast.
Rather than cancelling the markets altogether, the council has arranged alternative dates in August.
The market due to be held on Friday July 24 will instead take place on Monday August 10, while the Friday July 31 market has been moved to Monday August 17.
The change will create an unusual situation for shoppers and stallholders, with two market days taking place in each of those weeks.
During the week beginning August 10, the rescheduled Monday market will be followed by the regular Friday market on August 14. The same thing will happen the following week, with a market on Monday August 17 and another on Friday August 21.
Apart from those two affected dates, the Friday market will continue to operate as normal.
The market is one of the largest and most popular on the southern Costa Blanca, attracting residents, holidaymakers and day-trippers looking for everything from fresh produce and clothing to household goods and souvenirs.
