The warm weather, while pleasant, could make this the warmest January ever in Spain

It’s a wet start to the week for many in Spain’s southern Andalusia region as businesses, schools and shops all get back to their regular opening hours after the Christmas, New Year and Three Kings holiday.
Andalusia weather forecast, Monday January 9
There will be rain across large swathes of the region, mainly across the inland areas of Jaén, Cordoba, Malaga and Cadiz provinces, and also on the coast of Huelva.
Andalusia weather forecast, Tuesday January 10
This rain will clear up by Tuesday morning, only to be replaced with dense fog in many parts, especially in the early hours of the morning. Motorists are warned to take care when driving on the roads as conditions could be treacherous.
Andalusia weather forecast, Wednesday January 11
By Wednesday though, the weather should take a turn for the brighter across all of Andalusia, with the exception of some light rainfall in the west of the region on Wednesday morning.
This bright sunshine looks set to stay for the rest of the week and into the weekend, with temperatures in the coldest part of the night (around 6am) not falling below 0ºC and reaching as high as 22ºC, especially along the coast of Almeria, Granada and the Costa del Sol.
Temperatures further inland will be somewhat lower, with maximums of 15-18ºC, but all in all we are looking at a warmer than usual January this year, coming on the back of what was the hottest year ever recorded in Spain.

- Monday January 9: Min 2ºC; Max 23ºC
- Tuesday January 10: Min 2ºC; Max 21ºC
- Wednesday January 11: Min 2ºC; Max 21ºC
- Thursday January 12: Min 0ºC; Max 21ºC
- Friday January 13: Min 1ºC; Max 21ºC
- Saturday January 14: Min 3ºC; Max 21ºC
- Sunday January 15: Min 3ºC; Max 22ºC
