Rainstorms, snow and lots of cloud: Andalusia weekly weather forecast January 8-14
It is going to be a sodden kind of week but the coming weekend will more than make up for it
It will be a wet sort of a start to the week for many parts of southern Spain’s autonomous community of Andalucía, with many parts getting rain until Wednesday and even Thursday, but the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts sun for next weekend.
Monday January 8 will be sunny and bright in the east and dark and cloudy in the west. By the evening, it will be cloudy all over and the rain will begin to sweep in from the west, across Huelva and Seville.

This rain will move across the region throughout the morning of Tuesday January 9, bringing heavy thunderstorms to Cádiz and Gibraltar as well as showers to many other parts. Meanwhile, there will be snow above 2,000 metres’ altitude.

Fog will be the order of the day on Wednesday 10, and the parts of Andalucía that aren’t covered in fog – namely Jaén and Granada – will be subject to more rain.

By Thursday 11, though, most of the rain will have cleared up, barring a bit in El Ejido and Albox, in the province of Almería, while there will be snowfalls in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Granada.

On Friday 12 and going into the weekend, it should dry up across all of Andalucía and, while there will be plenty of scattered cloud cover, it will be mainly sunny and temperatures will go up to reach over 20ºC in some coastal areas on Sunday 14.
