ARCHIVED - Search for American soldier missing from Rota Naval Base in Cadiz
US citizen Eric Adam Caldwell has been missing for a week from his home on the Naval Base in Rota

Police in Spain are searching for an American soldier who went missing from the US Naval Base in Rota, Cadiz, on October 7.
The Guardia Civil have appealed to the public to voluntarily join the groups searching for the young American man, aged 31, a member of the Rota military base in Chipiona.
Rota Naval Base, formally known as Naval Station Rota, is a joint Spanish-US naval base in Andalusia in the south of Spain, not far from Gibraltar, and the largest American military community in Spain.
Police say they are using both land and air resources to locate the missing young man, Eric Adam Caldwell, who at the time of his disappearance was wearing blue shorts and a white shirt with blue polka dots.
The Guardia Civil have appealed to all private residents who wish to help with the search, as well as to people who have their own boats and experience sailing at sea, to volunteer and collaborate with the search.
