ARCHIVED - Seville reconnects with Rabat, Marrakech, Tangier and Fez from this Wednesday
Flights from the Andalusia region to Morocco
From Wednesday June 16 onwards, Seville resumes air connections to and from Morocco after the reopening of international borders on June 15.
The easing of Moroccan border controls includes the UK, all European Union countries except Lithuania, US, Canada, Russia and China and is part of a gradual re-opening of Moroccan borders to key international tourist source markets.
This reopening will be carried out gradually, taking into account the development of the national and international epidemiological situation.
Travellers to Morocco will be required to provide a vaccination certificate and /or a negative PCR test taken at least 48 hours prior to entry into the country.
The Seville flights are being operated by Ryanair, connecting with the Moroccan cities of Fez, Marrakech and Rabat with a frequency of twice a week -Wednesday and Sunday-, as well as with Tangier, with identical frequency, although the days scheduled for flights are Monday and Friday.
Ryanair has scheduled new international routes for this month from Seville, including Vienna (Austria); Marseille and Nantes (France), and Naples and Palermo (Italy) although air traffic depends, as always, on how the pandemic evolves and what regulations are in force at that time in the different countries.
The flights also provide a welcome alternative for Moroccan emigrants returning to the country for holidays and family visits following the cancellation of Operación Estrecho this summer.
