Small earthquakes hit Lorca in a week of hectic seismic activity
The Lorca tremor measured a mild magnitude of 2 on the Richter scale

An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 2 on the Richter scale was recorded in Lorca on Wednesday March 26 and while this is quite mild, the tremor was felt by many residents.
According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the earthquake struck at 12.13pm at a depth of 25 kilometres.
It’s been a week of seismic activity in the Region of Murcia, with the IGN reporting seven quakes in just 72 hours between March 22 and 25. On Tuesday morning, another slightly stronger earthquake measuring 2.1 degrees was registered in Lorca.
