Spain weather forecast March 26-29: Unsettled start but brighter weekend ahead
Showers and cooler air will give way to drier, warmer conditions across Spain by the end of the weekend

Average temperatures forecast on Sunday March 29
Spain will see a mixed run of weather over the next few days, with changeable conditions at first before things gradually settle down. Rain will affect parts of the country early on, particularly in the north and west, but conditions will improve as the weekend goes on. Temperatures will dip slightly before rising again by Sunday.
Thursday March 26

Thursday looks set to be a cloudy and unsettled day across much of Spain. Rain will move across the north, including Galicia, Asturias and the Basque Country, with showers spreading into parts of Castilla y León and Extremadura. Central areas such as Madrid will see occasional light rain. The south and Mediterranean coast will stay mostly dry with some sunny spells.
Daytime temperatures will range from around 12°C to 16°C in the north and 17°C to 21°C in the south and east but large parts of Andalucia could see the mercury hit 24°C. Winds will be moderate along exposed coasts. Yellow weather warnings will be in place in parts of northern Spain for rain and rough seas.
Friday March 27

Conditions will remain mixed, although the heaviest rain will begin to ease. Northern regions will still see showers, but these will become more scattered. Central areas will turn drier throughout the day, with brighter spells developing in the afternoon. Southern Spain will enjoy a largely dry day with increasing sunshine.
Temperatures will stay similar or slightly cooler in the north at 11°C to 15°C, while the south and east will reach 18°C to 22°C. Some northern coastal areas will remain under yellow warnings for waves early in the day.
Saturday March 28

A noticeable improvement will set in across most of the country. Rain will be mostly confined to the far north, where it will be lighter and more patchy. Elsewhere, skies will clear to give a mix of sun and cloud.
Temperatures will begin to rise, reaching 14°C to 18°C in the north and 20°C to 24°C in the south and along the Mediterranean coast. Winds will ease and any earlier weather warnings will likely be lifted.
Sunday March 29

It will be a more settled and pleasant day overall. Most of mainland Spain will enjoy dry weather with plenty of sunshine, although the far north may still see the odd light shower.
Temperatures will continue to climb, with highs of 16°C to 20°C in the north and 22°C to 26°C in the south and east. It will feel noticeably warmer in the sun, especially inland. No significant weather warnings are expected.
