Spain weather forecast May 4 to May 7: Sunshine and showers, warming up midweek
Mixed conditions are expected across Spain with a brighter and warmer trend building by midweek

Average temperatures expected on Wednesday May 6
After a bit of a gloomy weekend, Spain is heading into another mixed bag weather-wise over the next few days. Early in the week will bring some unsettled conditions in parts of the country, especially in the north and inland areas, but things should start to settle as we move into Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures will gradually climb and many places will see more sunshine as the week goes on, although a few showers will still pop up here and there.
Monday May 4

The week starts on a slightly mixed note. Northern Spain, particularly Galicia, Asturias and parts of the Basque Country, will see cloudy skies with scattered showers throughout the day. Some of these could be briefly heavy, especially in the afternoon.
Central areas including Madrid will have a cooler feel with variable cloud and the odd light shower, but also some sunny intervals breaking through. It won’t be a complete washout by any means.
Further south and along the Mediterranean coast, it’s a brighter picture. Places like Valencia, Murcia and much of Andalucía can expect plenty of sunshine with just a bit of cloud drifting through at times. Temperatures here will sit comfortably in the low to mid 20s.
Tuesday May 5

Tuesday follows a similar pattern, although there are signs of improvement. Northern regions may still see some lingering showers, but they’ll be more scattered and less intense than on Monday.
Inland areas start to brighten up, with longer sunny spells developing through the afternoon. Madrid and surrounding regions should see temperatures edge up slightly, making it feel more pleasant overall.
Along the Mediterranean coast, it’s another largely sunny day. Light winds and clear skies will keep things feeling warm, with temperatures nudging a degree or two higher than the day before.
Wednesday May 6

By Wednesday, high pressure starts to take more control, bringing more stable conditions across much of mainland Spain.
The north will still have a bit more cloud than elsewhere, but any showers should be isolated and short-lived. Most places will stay dry.
Central and southern Spain will enjoy a noticeable warm-up, with widespread sunshine and temperatures climbing into the mid to high 20s in some spots. It will feel much more like early summer, especially away from the coast.
The Mediterranean coast continues to look settled, with warm sunshine and light breezes making it a great day to be outdoors.
Thursday May 7

Thursday is shaping up to be the best day of the week for most of the country.
Sunshine will be widespread across the mainland, with only a few patches of cloud in the far north. Even there, conditions should stay mostly dry.
Temperatures will peak for the week, with many inland areas reaching the high 20s and possibly touching 30°C in parts of the south. Coastal areas will be slightly cooler but still very pleasant.
