Squatters discover mummified body discovered Malaga apartment
A woman’s remains, possibly undiscovered for a decade, were found by squatters in an abandoned flat

The grim discovery was made on Monday, March 18, when a squatter and his daughter entered the flat. According to reports, they immediately left the property after finding the remains and alerted neighbours, who then contacted the police.
Upon arrival, officers found the apartment in a state that suggested it had been left untouched for years, with no signs that anyone had noticed the woman’s absence. It is believed that the high turnover of residents in the building, along with the fact that the apartment's windows were open, may have contributed to the body remaining undiscovered for so long.
The case remains open as authorities await forensic test results to determine the cause of death and further details about the woman’s identity. The investigation continues to piece together the circumstances surrounding her tragic and unnoticed passing.
