Stormy start and end to the week: Andalucía weather forecast December 29 - January 4
Heavy rain and storms hit parts of Andalucía at the start and end of the week, with a few brighter, drier spells in between for New Year celebrations

It has been a rainy Christmas and the unsettled weather is set to continue. Eastern Andalucía kicks off the week with heavy showers and storms, but things brighten up for the New Year. Rain and storms are likely to return later on in the week.
Monday December 29

The week starts with cloudy skies and some rain and storms along the Mediterranean coast, especially in the far east of the Region, where some showers could be heavy at times. Morning mist or fog is likely in mountainous areas, but should lift as the day goes on. It will be a little cooler overnight, with daytime highs steady in the east and Guadalquivir valley, and slightly warmer elsewhere.
Tuesday December 30

Skies will be partly cloudy with some clouds. A few light showers are possible along the western Mediterranean coast, while mist and fog may hang around inland. Temperatures won’t change much, and some frost is possible inland. Winds stay mostly light, though moderate breezes could pick up along the coast.
Wednesday December 31 - New Year’s Eve

There will be some sunshine along the Mediterranean coast, while inland areas will start with low clouds or fog that should clear during the day. Temperatures will stay steady or drop slightly, and higher inland areas will feel chilly. Winds will remain light.
Thursday January 1 - New Year’s Day

It will be partly cloudy with some sunny spells across the region. Daytime highs will rise a little inland, while coastal temperatures stay about the same. It’ll still feel cold inland in the morning with some frost in places. Winds will start light and pick up along the coasts in the afternoon.
Friday January 2

Rain will have moved away from Huelva and areas further north, but Cádiz and the surrounding region will stay cloudy. From Málaga up to Almería, there will be a mix of sunshine and clouds. Temperatures will be between 6°C and 20°C, with moderate winds along the east coast and stronger breezes in the west.
Saturday January 3

Rain and storms will make a return across much of the Region. Daytime highs will reach around 20°C, with lows near 7°C. Winds will stay moderate throughout the day.
Sunday January 4

Rain and storms are expected to continue all day again. Temperatures will drop a little, with lows around 3°C and highs near 18°C. Winds will remain moderate, a bit stronger along the coast.
It’s a week that starts and ends with rain and storms, with a few dry, sunny days in between for the New Year. Perfect for enjoying the sunshine when it comes and curling up with a warm drink when the rain returns. With Three Kings still to come, hopefully the weather dries up so they can parade through the towns as usual.
