The Oficina de turismo in Guardamar also houses a small museum

The tourist information office in Guardamar del Segura is located in the Plaza de la Constitución, on the southern side of the main square in front of the Town Hall. Although it’s next door to the Town Hall it is actually fairly well hidden from view, as it lies on a street slightly below the level of the raised square itself.

The building in which the office is located is also home to the Casa-Museo Ingeniero Francisco Mira, which was home to the engineer who supervised the work in the early 20th century to save the town from the encroaching sand dunes which threatened its existence. A fascinating series of exhibits is contained within the museum regarding Mira’s work and the process by which Guardamar was able to survive this crisis.

Tuesday to Friday: 9.00 to 14.45 and 17.30 to 19.15
Closed on Sundays
