Tragedy in Alicante: British father of four dies after holiday fall
The Welshman suffered a tragic accident while on his first lads holiday in Benidorm
The family of Nathan Osman, a father of four, has been left devastated following his tragic death in Benidorm. The 30-year-old, from Pontypridd in South Wales, was enjoying his first holiday abroad with friends when he suffered a fatal fall after getting lost on the way back to his hotel after a night out.
His family, who have been left reeling from the news, described the accident as an "irreparable loss."
"Nathan lived and breathed for his children, who he considered his absolute world," said his loved ones in an emotional tribute.
"He was a wonderful partner, a stalwart friend and a person whose kind spirit shone through his smile and big brown eyes." His family also highlighted his loving and loyal nature, stating that his legacy will live on through his children, who will remember him forever.
During previous family holidays, the couple had shared a love of the beach, exploring and the outdoors.
His partner, Katie, and their four children will now have the tough challenge of continuing their lives without him.
The incident has raised concerns about safety in similar situations, with the Osman family urging people to exercise caution when walking alone at night in unfamiliar destinations.
The community in Pontypridd has been shocked by Nathan's passing, and an outpouring of support has followed. A GoFundMe campaign has raised more than £16,000 to help repatriate Nathan's body to Wales and support his children.
His family expressed their gratitude for the support, saying that the money will help give Nathan the funeral he deserves.
Spanish police are continuing to investigate the incident, which is currently being treated as a tragic accident. A further investigation is expected to take place in the UK following the repatriation of Nathan's body.
