Channelling her inner Ozzy Osbourne, singer Taylor Momsen stunned fans in Sevilla last week by remaining completely unflappable while a black bat munched on her leg in the middle of a live gig.

Best known for playing Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, Momsen's band The Pretty Reckless was supporting global superstars AC/DC in the Andalucía capital on Wednesday May 29 when an uninvited guest crashed the stage.

The 30-year-old musician paused mid-song to ask spectators what they were pointing at when she realised the bat was clinging to her left thigh, just below the hemline of her dress.

She screamed: "There's a f*****g flying bat on my leg right now, can someone help me please?"

Several people rushed onto the stage and shooed away the nocturnal creature, but not before he managed to take a couple of chunks out of her leg. The star later shared photos on X of the very visible puncture marks, and informed fans that she will need a few rabies shots.

On social media she told fans: "So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Seville Wednesday during 'Witches Burn' of all songs a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg.

"In the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me.

"So rabies shots for the next two weeks.

"Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning."

Momsen's many supporters also took to social media to congratulate the singer on keeping her cool during such a bizarre incident, but several couldn't help quipping about the parallels between the Gossip Girl star and a certain Black Sabbath superstar.

"That was just Ozzy's way of passing the buck. You have been chosen as the princess of darkness," one person remarked.

Another fan joked: "Where's Ozzy Osbourne when you need him?"
