ARCHIVED - Yellow alert for cold and frost on Andalucia public holiday: weather outlook Feb 27-Mar 2
Weather warnings have been issued in Almería, Córdoba, Granada and Jaén on Tuesday

Andalucia is bracing itself for a shift in weather conditions and yet another drop in temperatures. The arrival of storm Juliette has brought a mass of polar air that has prompted the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) to activate a yellow alert for cold in Almería, Córdoba, Granada and Jaén on Tuesday, a public holiday in Andalucia.
However, as we move into March, the mercury will rise once again, albeit slightly and briefly.
The eastern Mediterranean coast and pre-coastal mountain ranges will see intervals of cloudy skies on Monday February 27 without ruling out occasional precipitation and snow above 400 metres. Temperatures will fall and frost is likely in the eastern interior and high areas in the rest of the region. Winds from the north or north-west will feel more intense on the coast.
Almeria: 12ºC to 15ºC
Cadiz: 12ºC to 16ºC
Cordoba: 1ºC to 14ºC
Granada: 2ºC to 12ºC
Huelva: 6ºC to 18ºC
Jaen: 3ºC to 8ºC
Malaga: 7ºC to 16ºC
Seville: 4ºC to 16ºC
As mentioned, a yellow weather warning for cold has been activated for Tuesday February 28, a day which will also be marked by frost in large inland areas and clear skies or low cloud. Light northerly winds are forecast on the coast, and variable to westerly elsewhere.
Almeria: 4ºC to 14ºC
Cadiz: 7ºC to 15ºC
Cordoba: -1ºC to 15ºC
Granada: -4ºC to 14ºC
Huelva: 3ºC to 16ºC
Jaen: 1ºC to 11ºC
Malaga: 6ºC to 17ºC
Seville: 2ºC to 16ºC
Wednesday March 1 will get off to a fairly cloudy or clear start, although intervals of medium and high cloud will increase by late afternoon. Temperatures will remain unchanged or rise minimally, although frost is likely in inland areas accompanied by light variable winds, tending towards westerly and stronger on the coast.
Almeria: 5ºC to 16ºC
Cadiz: 7ºC to 14ºC
Cordoba: -1ºC to 15ºC
Granada: 0ºC to 14ºC
Huelva: 2ºC to 16ºC
Jaen: 2ºC to 12ºC
Malaga: 6ºC to 17ºC
Seville: 2ºC to 16ºC
Seesawing mercury will drop again in several provinces on Thursday March 2, together with intervals of medium and high cloud, more abundant in the east where occasional showers are not ruled out. Large inland areas can expect more frost, and winds from the west or northwest will prevail on the Mediterranean coast; variable during the afternoon elsewhere.
Almeria: 5ºC to 16ºC
Cadiz: 6ºC to 15ºC
Cordoba: -1ºC to 16ºC
Granada: -1ºC to 13ºC
Huelva: 2ºC to 16ºC
Jaen: 2ºC to 10ºC
Malaga: 7ºC to 17ºC
Seville: 2ºC to 17ºC
