These days you can pay for shopping, book tickets or even order your groceries all from your phone. Now you can add SAS health procedures to that list too.

 

From today, Thursday March 26, Andalucía's new virtual health card (TSV) lets you handle everything right from your mobile. It is available to anyone with public health insurance residing here, with no age limit, though under 18s need a Cl@ve PIN. Regional Minister Antonio Sanz called it a game-changer, saying "today, Andalucía takes a giant leap forward on its path to becoming a leader and is once again a pioneer in Spain."

 

Access it via the Citizen Folder, Salud Andalucía app, or ClicSalud+. Securely identify with a digital certificate, electronic ID, or Cl@ve, then activate and store it. From the app, save it for quick access without re-logging in each time; on ClicSalud+ you authenticate every go. Parents can store kids' cards too, and multiple ones work on a device if you authenticate properly. Generate a dynamic QR code valid for 24 hours to identify at any health centre, collect meds at pharmacies (no other ID needed), or use across other regions.

 

The physical card still works alongside it. Lost your phone or changing devices? Block or cancel the TSV instantly via the app, ClicSalud+, or your health centre.

 

This ties into the Junta de Andalucía's Digital Health Strategy 2030, backed by over €316 million. Expect perks like WhatsApp appointment alerts, a Virtual Waiting Room for peak times, and smoother chronic med renewals between pharmacists and doctors. It cuts admin for staff too, freeing them for patient care.

 

Over 760 Puntos Vuela centres offer free training, especially for seniors. Need a first card? Visit your health centre with ID, coverage proof, and residence cert. Renewals for loss are simple online. As Sanz added, "With this card, we are eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic barriers and demonstrating that Andalucía is moving towards a paperless system."
