Aemet warns of risk of storms and hail in Murcia this Tuesday
Spanish forecasters have activated an alert for possible hailstorms this Tuesday afternoon

The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has updated its warning system for this Tuesday June 3 and issued a yellow-level alert for the northern and central parts of the Region of Murcia due to forecasted “storms possibly accompanied by hailstones”.
Although rain was already forecast for this Tuesday afternoon and through to Wednesday morning, June 4, the prediction of heavy hailstorms is new. Much of eastern and central Spain is under a similar warning for widespread storms, and the alert level reaches orange in parts of Aragón and Castilla y León.

In Murcia, the yellow storm alerts, which warn of a 40-70% chance of thunderstorms and hail, will be active from 4pm on Tuesday June 2 until 11pm, when they will be deactivated.
The southern and coastal parts of Murcia will not be under the alert at all, and in fact no storms or hailstones are forecast for those areas by Aemet.
After Wednesday, the weather forecast is for sunshine and pleasant temperatures in the high-20s or above 30ºC for Murcia and much of the rest of Spain.
