Andalucia will be chilly and wet for most of the coming weekend
Weather outlook on Friday January 5
An Atlantic front has begun to sweep in across Spain and the entire country will soon feel the effects of storm Henk, which is wreaking havoc in the UK. As the days go on, the rain will sweep from north to south, bringing widespread showers and plummeting temperatures to Andalucia.
In fact, between Thursday and Sunday, much of the community will be placed on alert for strong winds, storms or dangerously rough seas.
Thursday January 4
Very cloudy skies are forecast on Thursday with weak but widespread rain, which could turn stormy and be accompanied by hail during the afternoon, particularly in western Andalucia.
Daytime temperatures will tend to rise ever so slightly but the winds from the west will grow gusty from noon.

Almeria: 11ºC to 20ºC
Cádiz: 12ºC to 18ºC
Cordoba: 12ºC to 17ºC
Granada: 5ºC to 15ºC
Huelva: 13ºC to 19ºC
Jaen: 8ºC to 15ºC
Malaga: 13ºC to 20ºC
Sevilla: 13ºC to 20ºC
Friday January 5
Inland to the east will remain overcast with weak to moderate rainfall, which will subside by nightfall except in the mountains, where the snowfall will be persistent above 1,000-1,200 metres.
Cloudy skies will prevail in the rest of Andalucia and while the showers could turn blustery in the morning, the rain should stop by the evening in most parts.
Temperatures will begin to decline, both during the day and at night, and the westerly winds will become very strong along the Mediterranean coast in particular.

Malaga: 12ºC to 18ºC
Sevilla: 8ºC to 17ºC
Saturday January 6
Three Kings’ Day should dawn slightly cloudy but any rain will be confined to inland areas, and even this should clear up by the afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to fall, with weak frosts forecast in parts but the westerly winds will continue to cause problems: strong intervals and occasionally very strong gusts are expected on the Mediterranean coast and the extreme east during the early morning.

Sunday January 7
The skies will begin to clear on Sunday and the daytime temperatures will rise slightly. However, it will still be frosty inland and the night will remain very cold.

Cádiz: 7ºC to 15ºC
Cordoba: 0ºC to 14ºC
Granada: 0ºC to 12ºC
Huelva: 3ºC to 15ºC
