ARCHIVED - Andalusia opens vaccine appointments for 16 to 19-year-olds this week
People born in 2002 and 2003 can book an appointment from July 27 and those born in 2004 and 2005 can make their appointment from July 29
Vaccine appointments for 18 and 19-year-olds are available from Tuesday, July 27, in the region of Andalusia, and the 16 and 17-year-old age group can make appointments from Thursday, July 29.
Those born in 2002 and 2003 can now book an appointment for their first dose through the Andalusia Health System website (ClicSalud+), using the mobile app, by calling the Salud Responde phone number (955 54 50 60) or by contacting their health centre.
From Thursday, people born in 2004 and 2005 will also be able to make an appointment.
The vaccines earmarked for these age groups are Pfizer and Moderna and, this week, the region of Andalusia received 308,880 doses of Pfizer and 91,600 of Moderna.
Appointments for second jabs are not made in the same way as the first and, in most cases, people are given an appointment for the second dose while receiving their first. The date and time for the second jab can also be checked in the ‘My appointments’ section of the ClicSalud+ website.
According to the latest update (July 26), 55.64 per cent of the population in Andalusia has received both doses (or one dose of the Janssen vaccine).
