The lifeless body of a 70-year-old woman has been found in the water on a beach in Nerja (Malaga), as reported by Emergencias 112 Andalucía, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Junta de Andalucía.

As they explained in a statement, several witnesses alerted the 112 telephone number after 1.30pm on Sunday October 30 to the discovery of the body of a woman in the sea, specifically at the height of Burriana beach. She was found floating in an area of rocks, according to the witnesses' testimonies.

The Guardia Civil, the Local Police of Nerja, the fire brigade of the Provincial Consortium of Malaga and the 061 Health Emergency Centre were alerted and confirmed the death of a 70-year-old woman. The Guardia Civil has taken charge of the legal proceedings.
