Eva Longoria trades Hollywood for the Costa del Sol
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star is relocating her family from LA to Marbella
Glamorous ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria and her husband José Bastón have opted for a dramatic lifestyle change, leaving LA behind for sunnier Spanish horizons. Sources close to the family have revealed that the decision behind the move is to prevent their five-year-old son Santiago from being “absorbed by the Hollywood cycle.”
The pair have reportedly listed their palatial Beverly Hills estate, priced at nearly 18 million euros ($19.8 million USD), and have begun moving their belongings to their recently renovated Marbella villa.
“They want to raise their son in a place where he will be surrounded by nature and beauty and won't be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle. They will be moving home to Spain full time and they are both very excited about it. He has had everything he wanted in Hollywood,” the family friend explained.
Longoria purchased a stately six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in Marbella in early 2023, hiring famed architect and interior designer Nicolás Escanez to breathe new life into their stylish sanctuary.
Perks of the lavish 1,531 square metre villa include an indoor pool, sauna and ultra-modern home gym.
“The first time I came to Marbella, two decades ago, it was love at first sight. I said to myself: ‘One day I will live here’,” Longoria said a few months ago in an interview.
“Later we created the Global Gift Foundation, and Antonio Banderas, my best friend María Bravo and I held the first gala here,” she added.
Eva Longoria is president of The Global Gift Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to create a positive impact in the lives of children, women and families in need.
