Fútbol Club Cartagena in bus crash on way home from away game
The Cartagena team bus was involved in an accident while returning from Zaragoza, but players and staff were unharmed

The crash involved the team’s bus and several other vehicles, including a lorry and cars that had previously collided and were immobilised on the dual carriageway. According to an official statement from the club, the bus driver managed to avoid two of the vehicles before colliding with a tow truck. Only material damage was reported.
“No injuries occurred, and thanks to the skill and expertise of our driver, more serious consequences were avoided,” the club said in its communiqué.
Cartagena, already relegated from LaLiga Hypermotion since mid-April, had lost 3-2 to Real Zaragoza the previous evening, conceding the deciding goal in the 97th minute at La Romareda stadium.
Following the crash, the team returned to Cartagena in a replacement bus. All players and staff members were confirmed to be in good health.
