This isn't a tribute act, it's the real thing, as two founding Jacksons headline Condomina Bullring alongside disco legends Boney M

Jackie and Marlon Jackson, two of the five original members of the Jackson 5, will take to the stage at Murcia's La Condomina Bullring this Wednesday July 15, and this is no tribute act. The pair are genuine founding members of one of the most influential family dynasties in the history of popular music, and their appearance forms part of 'La noche más disco' (The Most Disco Night), staged as part of the Murcia On programme by Ibolele Producciones.

Joining them on the bill is Boney M, one of the biggest names to come out of the disco era, who will open the show before Marlon and Jackie take over with a set built around the greatest hits of the Jackson 5, the group that first launched Michael Jackson's career. Audiences can expect to hear the songs that shaped a generation of pop music, performed by two of the people who created them.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has long recognised the group's importance, not just for launching Michael Jackson's solo career but for the wider impact their sound had on soul music as a whole.

Wednesday's show promises to be less a recreation of that legacy and more a direct link back to it, with the audience hearing these songs through the memories and lived experience of the people who made them.
