June 26-29 Beach Volleyball Tournament in La Zenia
The largest sporting event in Orihuela Costa returns this weekend

La Zenia is once again gearing up to host one of the most anticipated sporting events on the Orihuela Costa calendar as the national Beach Volleyball Tournament returns to Cala Bosque beach this weekend.
The stunning Cala Bosque was once again awarded a coveted Blue Flag last month, celebrating its natural beauty and top-class facilities.
From Thursday June 26 to Sunday June 29, the sands of La Zenia will come alive with action, music and a festive summer atmosphere as part of the Revolution 1920 national circuit.
This tournament is officially part of the National Beach Volleyball Circuit organised by the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation. It began in Madrid earlier this year and is making its way through 17 coastal and inland destinations before culminating in a grand finale this October.
La Zenia’s stop marks the ninth stage of the circuit and promises to deliver four days of elite competition and beachside entertainment.

And there’s lots more to look forward to besides. Over the weekend, Cala Bosque beach will embrace the beach club atmosphere, featuring food trucks, live DJs and workshops for children, making it an ideal outing for families and visitors of all ages.
Thousands of fans are expected to flock to the shoreline to enjoy the competition and cheer on the homegrown teams, so be sure to get there early to grab a good spot.
The official presentation of the tournament will take place on Wednesday June 25 at midday, kicking off the festivities. Competitive matches will then run daily from Thursday afternoon through to Sunday evening.
Entry is completely free and there is no need to reserve tickets, with open seating provided for all spectators.
Local businesses have also been invited to take part in the event through sponsorship opportunities. Organisers are currently seeking local partners who would like to showcase their brands to the thousands expected to attend over the four days.
Interested parties are encouraged to get in touch through email or the official Facebook page.
