ARCHIVED - Lucky jackpot winners in Christmas Lottery Draw were in Los Alcazares, San Pedro and Murcia city
The jackpot winners will split between them the 4-million-euro prize fund
El Gordo, the jackpot-winning number in Spain’s Christmas Lottery, has been announced and this year there are three localities in the Murcia Region which will share a part of the prize fund.
The Gordo is a pot of 4 million euros, which is divided between each of the winning tickets. The winning number this year was 05490, but there are many other smaller prizes. You can check your numbers to see if you’ve won any money on the Spanish lottery website.
Three lotto shops in the Murcia Region sold winning numbers this year: the Gato Negro in Murcia city; Loterías Río Nalón in Los Alcázares; and El Perolo in San Pedro del Pinatar.
These three administrations distributed among their customers a total of 2.8 million euros, distributed in seven tickets.
The El Gato Negro administration in Calle Trapería in Murcia gave out no less than 1,600,000 euros alone in the 2022 Christmas Lottery draw.
“It is the first time in history that we have sold the first prize in the Christmas Lottery. We had distributed other prizes, but never El Gordo,” Fulgencio Serrano, owner of El Gato Negro, told Spanish press.
In the Loterías Río Nalón lottery ticket distributor in Los Narejos, a district of Los Alcázares, distributed another two tickets.
And in San Pedro del Pinatar it was the El Perolo administration, which traditionally distributes Christmas Lottery prizes by selling many different numbers in the draw, which distributed another ticket which won the jackpot.
