ARCHIVED - Malaga has the most new cases in the whole region: Andalusia Covid update February 7
Malaga has 765 more Covid cases this weekend, while Seville has 719 and Almeria has 638

14-day incidence rate in Andalucía since March 2020
There were 4,394 new infections in Andalucía in the last 48 hours, with Malaga, Sevilla and Almeria having the most new cases. There were just 12 more deaths and the cumulative incidence rate dropped once again to now stand at 723.9 points.
This positive direction that the region and the whole of Spain is heading in mean the national government has decided that wearing facemasks outdoors will no longer be necessary as of this Thursday, February 10.
New infections
Andalucía recorded a total of 4,394 Covid-19 positives in 48 hours on Monday 7 February, 424 fewer than the previous day
The 4,394 infections on Monday (48 hours) are reported after the 4,818 on Saturday, 5,136 on Friday, 5,472 on Thursday, 5,831 on Wednesday, 4,477 on Tuesday and 5,637 last Monday (48 hours).
By provinces, Malaga is the one with the most cases, with 765, followed by Seville with 719, Almeria with 638, Jaen with 572, Córdoba with 519, Cádiz with 492, Granada with 485 and Huelva with 204.
Cumulative incidence rate
The 14-day cumulative incidence rate stands at 723.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, falling 33.3 points compared to this Saturday.
The province with the highest incidence rate, almost double the regional average, continues to be Almería with 1,386.3 cases, and the province with the lowest rate is Cádiz, with 526.7.
Almería is followed in incidence by the province of Córdoba with 975 cases, Jaén with 929.9, Huelva with 796.3, Granada with 736.2, and Málaga with 598.4.
Hospitalisations
Andalucía has fallen this Monday by 144 patients hospitalised by coronavirus in 48 hours to a total of 1,753. This fall is also reflected in the case of admissions to the ICU, although here the fall has been by just one person to 213.
By provinces, there are 146 hospitalisations in Almería, of which 20 are in the ICU; Cádiz (218 and 22), Córdoba (173 and 28), Granada (249 and 26), Huelva (72 and 12), Jaén (183 and 25), Málaga (329 and 36) and Seville (383 and 44).
Deaths
Andalucía reported 12 deaths in the last 48 hours, the lowest figure since 17 January when there were 11. Six of these were in Córdoba, three in Jaén and another three in Málaga.
Vaccinations
In total, 7,061,650 people over 5 years of age have been fully vaccinated in Andalucía and 7,529,006 have had at least one shot.
A total of 3,671,642 people in Andalucía have the third dose of the vaccine, and a total of 17,386,731 doses of the vaccine have been administered in the region overall.
