ARCHIVED - Malaga launches new Be Clean For Malaga campaign
The municipal council has called for residents to collaborate with the initiative
The councillor of Operational Services and Beaches for the Málaga municipality, (Málaga province, Andalusia region) Teresa Porras, has presented the new awareness campaign called ‘Being clean for Malaga’, which is being run throughout the summer months and aims to keep the city's beaches clean during the summer, highlighting the need for citizen collaboration.
The campaign will be disseminated through local media, using street furniture and publicity points operated by the council, on banners, using the municipal vehicles and social networks.
10 vehicles, 2 scrubbing machines, 2 water street cleaning vehicles and 6 road sweepers have been signwritten with the campaign image.
This year the municipal authorities are also aware of the need to be visibly undertaking additional Covid prevention measures, so this summer disinfection operations will be carried out in the access areas to the beaches, railings and wastebaskets, using the hypochlorite solution recommended by the health authorities.
