May 8-September 10 Pablo Picasso sculpture exhibition in Malaga
Discover a lesser-known aspect of Picasso’s work this summer at the Malaga Picasso museum

Starting from Monday May 8, the exhibition will remain at Malaga’s Picasso museum until Sunday September 10, 2023. After that, it will go to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in autumn.

The exhibition of Picasso’s sculptures, which focuses on the artist’s curiosity for the female form and its movements, takes the visitor through different phases and materials that represent the experiences and the context in which they were made, highlighting some works such as ‘Head of a Woman (Fernande)’ and ‘Guitar’, as well as others that are less cheerful and make direct reference to the wars that the artist lived through.

In the last 20 years that the Picasso Museum in Malaga has been open, approximately 1,500 works by the Spanish artist have been displayed and around 9 million visitors gone to see them.
