Murcia weekend weather forecast June 5-8: Another hot, sunny and settled one

This Saturday will be boiling hot again in Murcia and nights are getting torrid as we move further into summer

Following a dramatic sudden storm in the north of Murcia earlier this week, this weekend brings more settled weather and a rise in temperatures, according to the weather forecast from Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

For Thursday June 5, Aemet forecasts “Fairly cloudy or clear skies, with intervals of high clouds”. Temperatures will be “slightly rising or unchanged, except for a drop in maximum temperatures around the Mar Menor” and there will be “light variable winds, tending to blow from the east from midday onwards”.

Similarly clear skies and slightly cloudy conditions are forecast for Friday June 6, with “intervals of low clouds and morning mist in the Campo de Cartagena and around the Mar Menor”. Aemet also notes that “temperatures will see little change” and there will be “light variable winds, tending to blow from the southeast from midday onwards”.

Saturday 7 will be the hottest day of the weekend, with maximum temperatures on the rise and reaching as high as 36-37ºC in parts of central Murcia during the early afternoon.

Then, on Sunday 8, it will be a couple of degrees cooler during the day, though Aemet notes that minimum temperatures will be on the up. These warm nights and pleasant, sunny days are forecast to continue into next week.
