ARCHIVED - Online retailer AliExpress to open first physical shop in Malaga this weekend
This is the chain's third Andalucia store, with others in Granada and Sevilla

China-based online retailer AliExpress is set to open its first physical store in Malaga on Saturday March 11 with a shop located in the city's Plaza Mayor.
The move is part of the company's expansion plans in Andalucia, with stores opened in Granada and Sevilla over the last few weeks.
AliExpress is owned by the Alibaba Group. Launched in 2010, it's made up of small businesses in China and other locations, such as Singapore, that offer products to international online buyers. More than 100 million products are available online, from fashion and computer electronics to toys.
And now customers can physically find most of those products in-store, as is the case in other shops located in Madrid, Barcelona and Vitoria.
The Malaga store is the latest on the Chinese giant's expansion list, a strategic move in light of the fact deliveries of its "low-cost products" from China to Spain could previously take up to a month.
The Chinese brand decided instead to set up shop in Spain and opened its Plaza section, where it stocks products that are already in the country and for which the waiting time has been shortened from three to 10 days.
While waiting for the new AliExpress shop to open, it remains to be seen what space it will occupy in Plaza Mayor and how the different areas of the shop will be distributed.
For example, in other physical AliExpress stores, the firm divides the areas by products and you can find prominent brands, especially in technology, such as Xiaomi or Huawei, both Chinese, as well as Spanish names like Cecotec andgiants like Apple and Samsung.
There are typically spaces for consoles and the world of gaming, as well as for household items, fashion and gardening.
