Roda Golf & Beach Resort prepares to add Toptracer technology to its driving range
The new installation aims to modernise the practice facilities with real-time shot data and interactive features

Roda Golf & Beach Resort is set to introduce Toptracer Range technology to its driving range as part of a phased upgrade scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. The first phase includes the installation of 10 screens in covered bays and will be available to both club members and visiting players.
Located near the Mar Menor and less than an hour from Murcia and Alicante airports, Roda Golf has long positioned itself as a convenient destination for golfers in the region. The resort features an 18-hole course designed by Dave Thomas, a short game area and a clubhouse with restaurant, along with residential accommodation.
The introduction of Toptracer marks a shift towards more technology-led practice environments. The system uses ball-tracking technology to display detailed shot data, including distance, ball speed, trajectory and launch angle, all on individual screens. While it offers performance analytics for serious practice, it also includes virtual games and challenges designed to appeal to a wider audience.
According to the resort’s director, José Antonio Hernández Ballesteros, the goal is to improve the overall practice experience for players of all abilities. He described the technology as “a major step forward in innovation, performance and entertainment”.
Toptracer is already in use at numerous golf venues around the world and has become increasingly popular for combining training functionality with recreational play. With its rollout at Roda Golf, the resort joins a growing number of Spanish clubs investing in digital enhancements to attract both local players and international visitors.
