Sunny skies, 23 degrees and rising: Murcia weekly weather forecast January 20-26

Warmer temperatures are coming to Murcia, which will also escape the worst of the rain in the rest of Spain

After just a couple of weeks of cold weather, it’s almost like the winter will already be over in Murcia. Okay, so that’s an exaggeration, but it will be much warmer for the week ahead – both during the day and at night.

After last Friday, January 17, saw the first snows of the year in Murcia, for this week there will be no more sub-zero temperatures, and in fact it will also be far less cloudy and a bit sunnier than had previously been forecast.

That said, rain has been forecast for the evening of Monday January 20 for the northern and western parts of the Region, but leaving the southeast, Mar Menor and capital virtually untouched, if overcast.

That’s at night, and then from Tuesday 21 it will be less cloudy, with the grey skies gradually clearing as the day goes on. There could be a bit of a foggy patch around Bullas during the afternoon, but for the most part it will begin to warm up, especially at night when temperatures rise to 5-7ºC in the north and 8-11ºC in the south.

Wednesday 22 will bring sunny skies with some high cloud cover, and daytime maximum temperatures reaching up to 20-23ºC across the entire Region, conditions which will continue practically for the rest of the week.

In this way, Murcia will manage to escape the worst of the rain from Storm Garoé that will batter much of the rest of mainland Spain this week. The sun will continue to shine almost continuously for Murcia, with some occasional cloud cover to break the monotony, and temperatures will remain mild both during the day and at night.
