It will be a nice and sunny few days to come in Murcia, though windy this Thursday and with a bit of a dip in temperatures for Friday, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

This Thursday, December 19, the provinces surrounding Murcia are all on yellow alert for strong winds – Alicante, Almería, Albacete – but Murcia will escape the strongest of the wind. Even so, it will still be blowy: up to 35-40kmh in the far southwest or in the north.

From Friday 20, Aemet predicts that temperatures will fall, but so will the windspeeds and it will be pretty clear and sunny all day long. In general, while it will be a bit chillier, the mild temperatures in recent years mean that Murcia hasn’t experienced a true cold snap in more than 10 years.

Saturday 21 will also be chilly, with “light frosts in the northwest and the Altiplano” and “light variable winds”. Maximum temperatures will reach up to just 13-16ºC, while at night it will drop to -2-0ºC in the northern areas and 3-6ºC in the south.

Temperatures will actually go up by three of four degrees on Sunday 22, and we can look forward to clear, sunny skies every day until Christmas.
