Supermarket and store opening hours in the Region of Murcia this Three Kings weekend

Monday January 6 is a national holiday across Spain so most shops will remain closed

As the Christmas holidays draw to a close, one final celebration remains to wrap up the season, especially for children: Three Kings. This year, Monday January 6 is the day many families across Spain eagerly anticipate. Children wake up to find the gifts they wished for under the tree, delivered by Their Majesties, after enjoying the spectacular parades held nationwide on Sunday January 5.

Since January 6 is a national holiday, most shops in the Region of Murcia will remain closed. It’s wise to confirm store hours in advance if you plan to shop on this day.

With the holiday falling on a Monday, many Murcianos are taking advantage of the long weekend for a three-day break. For those staying in the Region and looking to make the most of their days off, here’s a breakdown of shopping and store hours over the holiday weekend.

Shopping hours on Sunday January 5: The day before Three Kings' Day

Sunday January 5, is a normal day for most stores, though many adjust their opening hours. It’s a great chance to grab any last-minute gifts or make necessary purchases.

Thader
Atalayas (Murcia)
Parque Almenara (Lorca)
Espacio Mediterráneo (Cartagena)
Dos Mares (San Javier)

Special Notes:

El Corte Inglés will open with special hours (10am to 10pm).
Ikea will welcome customers until 6pm.

Shopping hours on January 6: Three Kings' Day

On Monday January 6, most stores will be closed, but some shopping centres and leisure facilities will remain partially open:

Shopping Centres

Nueva Condomina: Only restaurants and leisure venues will be open during regular hours; shops will be closed.
Dos Mares: Both shops and entertainment venues will open, according to their website.
Thader: Closed.
La Noria Outlet: Closed.
Espacio Mediterráneo: Closed.
Parque Almenara: Shops closed; leisure facilities open.

Stores

El Corte Inglés: Closed (Murcia and Cartagena).
Ikea: Closed.
