ARCHIVED - These are the roads that are closed in the Region of Murcia because of the rain
The unrelenting rain has created dangerous driving conditions and forced the closure of several roads around Murcia
There are four main roads closed to traffic in Murcia as a result of the pounding rain in the last few days, including the Los Baños de Mula crossing in Mula, the road between Cartagena and Águilas, and the RM-E22 Cedacero road in the municipality of Cartagena, which will be closed for repairs until June.
Finally, the access road to the small village of El Berro in Alhama de Murcia has also been cut, and traffic diverted to alternative routes while the Regional Ministry of Public Works tries to ensure mobility and open these roads as soon as possible and as safely as possible.
In addition, the Local Police in Murcia city have cut traffic on the Camino de Tiñosa road near the intersection with Carril Escribanos, on the way up to the Reguerón bridge in Beniaján, due to a sinkhole that suddenly appeared when the side of the road collapsed.
