ARCHIVED - Torre Pacheco Vehicle Tax (IVTM) for 2023 due between March 1 and May 5
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Vehicle Tax (IVTM) payment window for 2023 open from March 1 until May 5 for vehicles registered in the Torre Pacheco municipality
The IVTM (Impuesto sobre Vehículos de Tracción Mecánica or Vehicle Tax) is a Spanish municipal tax. Anyone who has a registered vehicle and wants to drive on public roads has to pay IVTM, with no exemptions for hybrid or electric vehicles. Vehicles registered within the municipality of Torre Pacheco must pay IVTM to the local council.
The person responsible for IVTM is the registered owner of the vehicle on January 1 of the tax year (January 1 2023 for this year). If you don’t pay your IVTM payment by May 5, charges will be applied to your outstanding bill. If you still don’t settle the debt after that, the collection period will begin and the tax office may gain authorisation to freeze funds in your bank account to cover your road tax and any additional charges.
Notifications for the payment of IVTM are usually received by post. The notification document can then be taken to any of the banks listed and payment made.
Car tax can be paid on-line using the autofirm@ or cl@ve system. It may also be possible to pay on-line using your NIF (DNI, NIE, CIF) number.
If the notification letter is not received or there is a query or problem, you can visit the Registration Office in Torre Pacheco Town Hall to acquire a payment document which can be taken to one of the banks listed for payment or notify the Council of any anomaly. The address is:
