ARCHIVED - Andalucian residents aged 41 to 46 can now book their Covid vaccine
Those born between 1975 and 1980 in Andalucia can now book their Covid vaccine.
As the vaccination programme in Andalucia continues to speed up, health officials are encouraging those aged between 41 and 46 to book their vaccine directly.
Vaccines can now be booked at the Andalucian Health Service's website at https://www.sspa.juntadeandalucia.es/servicioandaluzdesalud/clicsalud/, through the Salude Responde mobile app and by the Salud Responde phone number on 955 54 50 60. Appointments for vaccines can also be made at local health centres.
The number of appointments offered will depend on the number of doses available and the vaccine is on offer to all those registered on the Andalusian Health Service database regardless of whether they hold private or public health insurance.
The service is only available for those booking their first jab and anyone who has had the virus must wait six months after diagnosis to book their appointment. Meanwhile, the vaccines given to this age group will be the Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen jabs.
The Ministry of Health also announced that all those over 55 who have not been vaccinated can now contact the health services directly by telephone to request their appointment.
This week, Andalucia will receive 508,920 doses of the vaccine, including 428,220 from Pfizer, 55,000 from Moderna, 25,700 from Janssen, as well as a shipment from AstraZeneca.
Andalucia’s infection rates are continuing to rise, with the accumulated incidence rate over the past 14 days reaching 187.3 per 100,000 inhabitants on Monday, June 7, causing delays to the easing of restrictions across the region.
