Costa del Sol police hunt for British fugitive who stabbed his girlfriend

Malaga police are on the hunt for a British man who reportedly stabbed his girlfriend after a row earlier this week. According to official sources, the pair began to argue in their car after spending the day at a Costa del Sol beach club in Mijas Costa.

During the course of the altercation, the man stabbed his partner in the thigh and she tumbled from the moving vehicle before he sped away. It’s not yet known if she was pushed from the high-powered car or if she jumped out trying to escape her attacker.

The young woman, also thought to be from the UK, was taken to a hospital in Marbella where she was treated for a serious wound on her leg, as well as numerous cuts and bruises.

Although his name hasn’t been released to the public, Spanish police believe they have identified the suspect who is around 35-years-old and has multiple convictions in the UK. Investigators believe he may have already left the country via Gibraltar.

Given the suspect’s previous violent history and the nature of the assault, the Guardia Civil believed the young woman was at risk so a guard was present with her while she was in the hospital. She has since been discharged.

Over on the Balearic Islands, another manhunt has been launched for a British tourist, this time a woman accused of slicing a hotel manager’s throat. The drunk holidaymaker reportedly got into an argument with staff over the cost of her bar tab and threw a glass, which grievously injured the worker.
