More details emerge on James Argent’s suspended sentence over domestic incident in Spain
Court documents reveal injuries to partner Nicoline Arturrson as the reality star avoids jail

According to newly released court documents, his partner, Nicoline Arturrson, sustained multiple injuries during the altercation. These included bruising to her neck and right forearm, as well as abrasions to her arm, hand and leg, after Argent pushed her down a flight of steps outside their home. The injuries were described as skin and soft tissue damage, which took about a week to heal.
Prosecutors had initially sought to charge Argent with wounding, which carried a potential nine-month prison sentence, but he admitted a lesser offence as part of a plea agreement. The sentence also includes a two-year restraining order and mandatory attendance at a domestic violence rehabilitation programme.
The court report stated: “During the argument, and with the intention of harming her physical integrity, he grabbed hold of her tightly by her arm and pushed her causing her to fall down the stairs.”
Following the sentencing, a friend of Nicoline said: “Her physical injuries might be healing but the mental trauma is something that will take months to get over.” Arturrson, a former Miss Sweden and professional model, has declined to make any public comment.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday May 5, after an argument reportedly related to Argent’s contact with a former partner. After pushing Arturrson, he was seen throwing her belongings from their shared home’s balcony before being arrested by Spanish police. He was held overnight before appearing at the Court of Violence Against Women in Fuengirola, where he entered his guilty plea.
As part of his sentence, Argent must now attend a 10-week rehabilitation programme under Spain’s Regener@r initiative, which is aimed at reducing reoffending through education. He will be required to listen to survivors’ personal stories as part of efforts to help him develop what the programme describes as a “new masculinity”.
Argent has since returned to the UK and was seen performing at a London charity event shortly after the court appearance. He is scheduled to appear at a restaurant in Spain later this week, though it is not yet known whether he will travel. In a brief statement, Argent said he was “devastated” by the incident and denied having relapsed into drink or drug use.
