Spanish Police have arrested a 25-year-old Swedish fugitive in Torremolinos (Malaga), one of the most wanted criminals by the authorities in Sweden.

The man, who was the subject of a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) and who was included in the Enfast network (European Network of Active Fugitive Search Teams), was wanted by the Swedish authorities for drug trafficking.

Finding and arresting this man was considered of the utmost importance for the Swedes, and they finally got their wish in the afternoon of last Wednesday, October 26.

As reported by the Malaga Provincial Police Station in a statement, through the Enfast channel, the National Police knew this man was alleged to be staying in Spain and had a home in the Costa del Sol town of Torremolinos.

Once police officers were able to verify his identity and the validity of the European arrest and surrender warrant, they proceeded to arrest him and transfer him to police headquarters. He has now been placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction number 5 of the Audiencia Nacional.

In addition, as indicated in the requisition (interception of any electronic communication device), the latest generation mobile phone he was carrying at the time of his arrest was seized.
