ARCHIVED - Police close Seville swingers club for not enforcing social distancing restrictions
Officers found 87 customers inside breaking various covid restrictions during an inspection of the premises in the town in Seville, Andalusia.
The Local Police in Bormujos closed and sealed the premises of the Asociación Imperio Liberal swingers club on Saturday night after finding 87 people inside, many not wearing masks or managing to keep a safe distance away from other clients.
The council of the town in Seville province reported that officers carrying out routine inspections decided to close the venue as the number of customers exceeded the limit and that due to their nature, the activities being carried out could pose a coronavirus infection risk as they were ‘invading personal space’.
The club is registered with the Andalusian authorities, and advertises on its website, as a cultural and leisure association exclusively dedicated to ‘swinger style’ erotic and sexual activities.
Not only were public health regulations relating to Covid-19 being broken, but the police also reported a lack of safety measures and issues including problems with safety mechanisms on the emergency exits. Reports have been handed over to the authorities for fines to be issued if found appropriate.
