Tourist couple found dead in Tenerife resort from drug overdose
Autopsy confirms no one else was involved in the deaths of two 23-year-olds found in a Costa Adeje apartment

The bodies of the two 23-year-olds, an Italian man and a woman from the Canary Islands with Argentine roots, were discovered on Friday May 24 in a bedroom at the Caledonia Park apartment complex in Costa Adeje, one of the island’s most popular holiday spots.
Police were called to the scene after neighbours complained of a strong smell coming from the flat. When officers entered, they found both bodies in an advanced state of decomposition.
At first, investigators considered the possibility that someone else might have been involved, since the deaths were classed as violent. But forensic doctors have now ruled this out, confirming that the pair died of a drug overdose, after the preliminary autopsy findings, saying that, “there is no indication that anyone else was involved.”
The apartment where they were staying is just a short walk from the busy seafront and not far from popular attractions like Siam Park.
