Victim of Costa del Sol gangland shooting believed to be British
Sources claim the man, shot to death at a Malaga sports club, is originally from Liverpool

A man believed to be British has been gunned down in a suspected gangland-style shooting on the Costa del Sol. The deadly ambush took place at around 8.15pm on Monday April 21 in Calahonda, a popular resort town between Marbella and Fuengirola.
By the time the emergency services arrived, the victim had already died from his injuries. Locals reported hearing between eight and ten gunshots during what’s been described as a gunfight.
The suspected shooter fled the scene in a getaway car, a Cupra with foreign plates, which was later discovered torched nearby. Weapons were reportedly found inside the burned-out vehicle. Investigators suspect it was deliberately set alight by the gunman and possible accomplices to destroy evidence.
While the authorities have not officially confirmed the victim’s nationality, sources close to the investigation said they are working on the basis that he was a 30-year-old man from Liverpool. A post-mortem examination is still pending.
