WATCH: terrifying fire tears through Marbella shopping centre
The blaze originated in a restaurant in the Puerto Banús commercial centre
Terrifying footage has emerged of a spectacular fire ripping through the Cristamar shopping centre in Puerto Banús, Marbella, on Wednesday December 27. The fire is believed to have broken out in a restaurant at around 6am and the recordings show the flames rapidly devouring everything in their path.
Given the extend of the blaze, several fire brigades sped to the scene along with reinforcements from both the Local and National Police.
The epicentre was discovered to be located at Columbian Restaurant ‘Sabor Latino.’ Despite the shocking images, nobody is believed to have been injured given the early hour, although the building has been completely gutted.

This popular shopping centre was the scene of a submachine gun shooting earlier in the summer, and so investigators have yet to rule out arson in this case.
On the very same morning, another fire broke out at around 4.15am at a nearby car dealership, but only the facade of the building was damaged.
